A natural brown wool that resists dye. This distinctively rich brown is a bit unusual in a sheep's wool, and is surprisingly soft for a heritage breed.

Although Loaghtan is the Manx word for "mouse brown," the colour is close to the moorit colour of Shetland sheep -- we would say it has notes of caramel and chestnut in it.

Each bag contains 100g of wool.

About the breed

Manx Loaghtan is the glam-rock superstar of the sheep breeds. We think so, anyway.

A rare breed, its history is centred on the Isle of Man, where it has been raised for centuries. f you see them in person, you will no doubt notice their horns, which grow not as pairs but as sets of four, occasionally six!
